This mornings bus ride was too hilarious to not blog about. At one of the stops, a lady got on and sat next to another lady. They seemed to have know each other because they started right in talking about their evenings. Here’s how the conversation when down, I’m going give them the names Sally and Erin: Continue Reading…
Here’s a quick little tip I thought I would share for those of you that have an iDevice. Have you ever scrolled pretty far down on a list in your favorite app? Have you ever thought to yourself, “there’s got to be an easier way to scroll back up.” Well, you are in luck, because there is. All you need to do is click on the time on the top of your device. It will automagically scroll you up to the top of the app.
When I decided to move my blog over to the Standard Theme Preview from Pro Photo Theme, I knew that something that I would be missing was the Collections that are built in. After making the move, I decided to take a closer look at the galleries that are built into WordPress. I found a great article in the WordPress Codex that explain the gallery shortcode paramaters and options. I have some galleries in a few of my previous posts (8BIT Swag, Mountain Lion) but realize that if I wanted to have my featured image not included in the gallery, I would have to exclude it. Luckily there is a parameter in the gallery shortcode that you can exclude certain media from your gallery. The code below is what I used for my previous post: (Note: I had to remove the beginning square bracket “[" and trailing square bracket "]“)
gallery size="medium" columns="3" link="file" exclude="363"

Mountain Lion is going to be an update to the current version of Lion. Apple has been known to add incremental updates to their operating systems like Leopard to Snow Leopard. There are a few large differences that I want to talk about with the upcoming release of Mountain Lion. Continue Reading…
As you may already know, I love the products that the guys at 8BIT create and am getting to know the guys little by little over time. They are all solid guys (not sure about that Michael guy though
) and I was fortunate enough to grab some coffee with Michael today. Now that I don’t work with Michael on a daily basis, I really look forward to opportunities that we get to hang. This time was extra special because he brought me some 8BIT swag!!! Continue Reading…
Just in case you missed it, the guys at 8BIT released the Standard Theme 3 Preview this morning. It was their Valentines Day gift to all of their Support License folks. Go pick it up if you haven’t already. I’m ready to get my hands (fingers) on it and see what crazy things I can manage to do with it. I’ve already installed it locally on my Macbook Air (hence the screenshot) and will most likely be digging into some of the code on my lunch hour today. Continue Reading…
