If you are a web designer, graphic designer, hobby photographer, or like to create your own meme? Don’t want to spend an outrageous amount of money for Photoshop? Own a Mac (I hope so)? Well let me introduce you to Pixelmator. It’s a fantastic combination photo editing and vector graphic tool for your Mac. It’s got a lot of the basic photo editing toolset and also has some of the basic Illustrator toolset as well. It’s written using Apple’s Cocoa and Objective-C and is also a 64-bit application. This thing also works well with OS X Lion’s features like autosave, versions, etc… I use it to create quick 940×250 header images for the Standard Theme sites that I help clients customize. It’s also great to add a little caption on a photo for a post or screenshot. The best part is that it is available in the Mac App Store at $14.99 which is 50% savings over its regular price. This is extremely cheaper than $999 for the full blown version of Photoshop and also cheaper than the Photoshop Elements app at $79. Get it while it’s hott!
